Candlelight Zouk Evening

Welcome to another special candlelight evening at Wandellust in Zurich.

Together we celebrate dance, connection and community in the magical and dreamy atmosphere of candlelight.

Beginner 'Quick-start': 15:00-17:00

If you've never danced Zouk before this is a chance to learn the basic steps, structure and flow of Brazilian Zouk so that you can relax, embody and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Workshops: 18:00-21:00

In this workshop we will dance like we have never danced before, creating and sharing precious moments with ourselves and our partners. We will have the opportunity to "let go" of beliefs, movements and connections that no longer serve our freedom and enjoyment of dance in a profoundly safe and loving way. This aspect of "letting go" will offer spaciousness in our mind and body to express whatever our body truly desires. in our dance (and life) that no longer serve us.

In terms of technique I will teach different ways to create and feel this energy flow through the upper and lower segments of the body which are unique and specific to Brazilian Zouk. There will be a lot of creativity, experimenting with shapes and sharing of feelings.

Party: 21:00-02:00

After the workshop, the space will open for social dancing with beautiful music and flickering candlelight in every direction. A fruit and nut buffet will also be provided.

About Jonny - Jonny loves to create safe and powerfully-transcending spaces for people to break through their limitations and bring a fuller and more embodied version of themselves to the world. His skill-set combines a range of bodywork, breathwork and dance modern techniques, as well as Zouk-specific step and patterns. Jonny is a natural leader of groups and specialises in creating fun and playful spaces for authentic expression and personal growth.
