Enjoy this masterclass in Zouk Connection and partner dance understanding from Aline and Rafael. Aline and Rafael have been working together since 2020 to bring a deeper level of patner dance knowedge into their Zouk and other dance techniques. I am so excited to have this couple from Brazil be with us, this weekend is going to be so much fun!

Read Aline's Bio

Aline is an international artist, dance teacher for 19 years, choreographer, researcher and dancer of Brazilian social dances. Mainly focused on Brazilian zouk, samba de gafieira and forró. She researches and brings contemporary approaches into partner dance and more recently including practices and philosophy from yoga.

Over the past 4 years, she has produced countless choreographic processes with dance partners, solos and women's groups. During her career, she has been in 18 countries, teaching at more than 40 international congresses and hundreds of Brazilian congresses.

She studied at schools such as Broadway Dance Center and Peridance in New York. Throughout her career, she participated in 10 competitions in total, becoming champion in three of them, “Baila Floripa” 2008, “Salsa y Sabor” 2009 and “Dance no Shopping” 2010. As a highlight of her productions, the video " It Won't Stop", had over 3 million views. She participated in the shows: “Nuances Latinas” (2008) and “Desejos” (2009) by the dance company Clube Latino. Currently studying Dance Technician at the institution Centro Paula Souza and has been developing a teaching methodology that mixes integrative therapies and social dances.

Rafael Fernandes Soares has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Bandeirante University; Pedagogy from Faculdade Campos Salles; Post-graduation in Ballroom Dances and Sports Dances at Universidade Gama Filho; Post-graduation in Exercise Physiology at Unylya Faculty; Training in holistic and integrative therapies by Humaniversidade.

With over 15 years of experience teaching social dancing classes, social dance coordinator and choreographer in shows developed by Conceição Linares Academy. Rafael is currently developing a teaching methodology that mixes integrative therapies and social dances.
