Acro-Zouk Weekend

A magic weekend when Zouk meets elements of lifts, tricks and acro-yoga.

In this special weekend of acro and zouk workshops we will play with lots of different (easy) acrobatic movements, and learn how to prepare our bodies and partner connection so that we can flow in and out of them creating an Acro-Zouk experience.

Saturday Schedule

10:00-17:00: In this workshop we will warm-up our bodies through stretching and dance before learning some basic ground and air acrobatic movements. Then we will experiemnt with ways to include our new lifts and tricks into our Zouk dance.

20:00-01:00: Zouk Party!! (Venue to be confirmed)

Sleeping: Anyone who needs a place in Basel to stay overnight can sleep at Debora's house. Please mention this in the booking form.

Sunday Schedule

11:00-16:00: In this workshop we will warm up similar to Saturday and dive deeper into acrobatics, learning more challenging movements and creative dance transitions. To celebrate the weekend we will create and share mini acro-zouk choreographies.

- Beginner Zouk dancers are welcome

- Please bring your own snacks and lunch for Saturday

About Debora

Since 2016 Debora Steinegger has been sharing her passion of acrobatics and dance through workshops, choregraphies and artistic shows, where movement melts together with character and rhythm. Through her work Debora is expressing her vision to combine art and movement with trust and relationship.

About Jonny - Jonny loves to create safe and powerfully-transcending spaces for people to break through their limitations and bring a fuller version of themselves to the world. His skill-set combines a range of bodywork, breathwork and dance techniques, as well as Zouk-specific step and patterns. Jonny is a natural leader of groups and specialises in creating fun and playful spaces for authentic expression and growth.
